ntroducing the all-new 2026 First Nations Netball.

This artwork, titled  "Buubumur Gaawul" or "Platypus Lagoon" has been created by renowned First Nations artist, Sean Kinchela, a proud Gamilaroi and Wiradjuri man.

Celebrate your 2026 First Nations Round with the Buubumur Gaawul Netball.

From the artist:

In the artwork you can see the Platypus swimming with camps on either side of it. The camps represent being looked over and protected on both sides of the river. The leaves travelling down the river are also surrounded by hills, reflecting the natural habitat of the Platypus. I wanted to create something to raise awareness about an endangered native animal. I have been out looking for Platypuses to to photograph lately and have had a really good chance to study and learn more about how special these creatures are! They are so mysterious and so unique, yet sadly they are endangered and very rare.
